RMCO's Listing Hailed as a Major Milestone for the Barbados Stock Exchange
The listing of Roberts Manufacturing Company Limited (RMCO) on the Barbados Stock Exchange was marked at an official ceremony on 29 May, with government and market leaders describing it as a defining moment for the local equity market.
Speaking at the event, Minister Ryan Straughn called the listing a significant milestone — not only for RMCO but for the wider business community. He framed it as a strong vote of confidence in the company, signalling trust in its future growth and stability, and said it opens a new chapter for RMCO: room for expansion, innovation and deeper investor engagement, underpinned by a continued commitment to transparency and accountability.
RMCO Managing Director Jonathan Hart described the listing as a watershed moment for the 80-year-old company.
Marlon Yarde, Managing Director and CEO of the Barbados Stock Exchange, put it simply: the listing is about "connecting enterprise with opportunity" — and reflects renewed momentum in the Barbados equity market.
The listing follows RMCO's public share offering earlier this year, on which CSA served as advisor — the first new listing on the BSE Main Market in over two decades.
